This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Russell "Captain" Christensen who was born on December 10, 1950 in Southgate, California. On Sunday May 7th 2006, Russ was involved in a bicycle incident. Due to the severity of injuries, he passed away the following day at the age of 55 years old. Survivors include his wife, Susan; children Mike & Sarah, and Jason & Kristie; grandchildren Delanie, Nathan, Lillie and Russell; sister Judy and husband Richard; and many more family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Russ enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Most of them remember Russ on his boat or driving his '55 Chevy. He also enjoyed entertaining his friends with his favorite tunes. Most of all he enjoyed being with his loved ones. Russ' life was short, but he lived every day as if it were his last. Please remember Russ with his energetic and contagious smile.
Little did we know that morning God was going to call Russ' name. In life we loved him dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose him. He did not go alone for part of us went with him the day God called him home. He left us peaceful memories. His love is still our guide. And though we can not see him, he is always at our side. author unknown.
Please continue to share your memories and thoughts.
Thank you for all for your love and support, The Christensen & Scott Family
